Requirements for Enrollment in Continuing Education Classes

Credit and noncredit classes and programs are open to anyone, including matriculated and non-matriculated students, individuals who wish to audit courses, and high school students who meet the university’s concurrent enrollment requirements.

Students who have been suspended from Brigham Young University or any other institution of higher education for any reason may register only for Independent Study classes. Suspended students may not enroll in Evening or Salt Lake Center classes until the suspension has been formally resolved and the student has been reinstated.

Student Responsibility. Enrollment in a Continuing Education course does not constitute admission to BYU or any other university as a degree-seeking student. Students are responsible for gaining admission to the university of their choice as a degree-seeking student through the institution’s standard admission procedures. At BYU, students may apply for admission through Enrollment Services.
